Police responded to a disorderly detail at 251 North 200 East, where neighbors stated they could hear a male and a female fighting and screaming.

Upon arrival, they met with the female subject, whom Officer Ross recognized as 30-year-old Elizabeth Amanda Hatch-Alcott from a previous incident similar to this one.

Elizabeth stated she was arguing with the victim, but no physical altercation occurred between them.

A witness stated she could hear them yelling from inside of their apartment from her apartment.

Later, Officer Ross met with the victim, who said while he was sleeping on the couch, Elizabeth kicked him in the face. The victim stated after he was kicked in the head, he told Elizabeth he was going to leave but was unable to because she would grab hold of him to prevent him from leaving the apartment.

The victim stated that Elizabeth then grabbed his tablet and threw it on the floor, causing it to break the screen. In the last few weeks, multiple officers have responded to Elizabeth and the victims for similar events.

Elizabeth was located walking near the Cafe Rio parking lot, 1205 West Highway 40. She stated she did kick the victim in the head in self-defense while they were both standing and facing each other.

Officer Ross stated that it should be noted that Elizabeth is approximately 5' tall while the victim is approximately 5' 6". Given Elizabeth's height difference and body structure, it would be highly unlikely for her to be able to reach the victim's head while he was standing up.

Elizabeth stated that she lied when she was initially asked if any physical altercation occurred. Elizabeth was then placed in handcuffs that were checked for tightness and double-locked. Elizabeth stated she had marijuana in her bra.

It was confirmed through Dispatch that Elizabeth had a medical marijuana card, but it was not on her person.

Elizabeth was transported to the Uintah County Jail without incident. While at the jail, a female Deputy conducted a search of Elizabeth's person and was able to retrieve clearly labeled THC vape cartridges.

Based on the affirmation of Officer Ross,  the arresting officer, the undersigned magistrate finds that probable cause existed for the arrest without a warrant of Elizabeth Amanda Hatch-Alcott. Elizabeth Amanda Hatch-Alcott may post bail in the amount of $2,200.00.

Elizabeth Hatch-Alcott was charged with the following:

Assault DV

Unlawful Detention DV

Property Damage DV

Disorderly Conduct After Request to Stop

Violation of a Medical Marijuana Card
