Fiancé assaulted after being accused of cheating

3/12/25

| Roosevelt, Ut. | March 6th, 2025 |

33-year-old Dana Lenae Pryor told Roosevelt City Police when they arrived at her residence that she had caught her fiancé cheating on her and confronted him about it.

Dana stated that her fiancé got in her face, and she shoved him. Later in the argument, he pushed her down the stairs to the basement and kicked Dana out of the house.

An officer spoke with the male inside the residence. He stated the argument started over her confronting him about something she found on his phone. He said Dana pushed him onto the couch. He told Dana, "Not in front of the kids. " They both went outside to the backyard, where the argument continued.

The male went back inside the residence and called his landlord in Missouri to have them retrieve property from their house. The male stated that Dana came in and approached him about some of the property he was telling them to remove.

The male stated Dana punched him 4 or 5 times while pulling his hood over his head. He then kicked her out of the residence and locked the door.

The officer asked one of the children who was present during the altercation, and she stated that Dana pushed her fiancé down on the couch three times before he was able to leave. She also said she heard the argument downstairs but didn't see it.

Officer Bellon went outside to speak with Dana again and asked her if there was a physical altercation in the basement. She said that there was. He asked if she had hit her fiancé, and she stated that she did, but it was open hand.

The officer asked to see her hands, and he saw bruising between the knuckles and a small abrasion on her left hand consistent with repeatedly striking something with a closed fist.

Dana Pryor was placed under arrest, and she was taken to the Duchesne County Jail to be booked on assault, domestic violence, and domestic violence in the presence of a child.
