A female went to the emergency room at the Uintah Basin Healthcare Hospital for a broken wrist from a domestic violence incident. Officer Boren met the victim and noted an obvious deformity in her right wrist.

The victim reported that she and her boyfriend, 38-year-old Christopher Pankey, had been drinking and gotten into an argument. The victim stated that she was within inches of his face while arguing, and Christopher pushed her with both hands in the shoulder region.

The victim then fell and attempted to catch herself. However, she felt pain in her right wrist when she hit the ground. The victim said she had collected her daughter and left for the hospital.

With the victim's consent, the hospital informed Officer Boren the victim's wrist was broken and provided him with an x-ray of the victim's wrist.

A records check indicated that Christopher had three active state-wide warrants for his arrest.

Officer Boren went to Christopher's residence, where he saw Christopher on the top balcony of the hotel room.

The officer asked Christopher to come out of the hotel room to speak with him. When he complied, Christopher was placed in handcuffs.

Christopher agreed to speak with me at the jail after being read his rights per Miranda; however, he denied any physical altercation. Christopher stated he had been drinking that night and acknowledged that they had gotten into an argument, and the victim got into his face, but he said that he left after this.
