Drunken Argument Leads to Physical Altercation with Mother

Maeser, Utah (6/20/26)—Deputy McDavid with the Uintah County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a domestic in progress where a female stated that she was in a physical altercation with her son.
Upon arrival, the deputy met a woman in the front yard who identified herself as the caller. She explained that her son, 20-year-old Anthony Heber Flores, returned home intoxicated, and she confronted him about it.
She stated that during the confrontation, he pushed her, causing her to fall. The deputy inquired about Anthony's location, and she indicated that he had gone to his bedroom.
Deputy McDavid entered the home and found Anthony in a bedroom. He agreed to join the deputy in the living room for a conversation. When asked his age, Anthony acknowledged being twenty and confirmed he had been drinking. Regarding the interaction with his mother, he stated they had argued, and he pushed her, resulting in her fall.
After speaking with Anthony, the deputy returned to his mother for further details. She recounted that following the initial incident, Anthony returned to his room but later came back to the kitchen for something to eat. When she attempted to talk to him again, he shoved her aside, causing her to fall yet again.
During the conversation, Anthony's mother expressed concern that her son might become increasingly angry and could potentially harm her, which prompted her to call 911.
Deputy McDavid went back to ask Anthony about the second incident. He confirmed that after getting a snack, he had indeed pushed his mother again, causing her to fall. At that point, Anthony was placed in handcuffs and informed that he was under arrest.
He was subsequently escorted to the patrol vehicle for a search, which yielded no findings of interest. Following this, he was transported to Uintah County Jail.
