Deputies at the Duchesne County Jail Act on a Tip of Inmates Drug Smuggling Plan

Duchesne, Utah (6/4/26)—Deputies at the Duchesne County Jail received information about a planned drug drop intended to deliver illegal substances to inmates at the facility.
During their inquiry, law enforcement monitored recorded phone calls and electronic messages involving inmates Brayden Frank Street, 26, Scott Allen Abel, 44, and Neddy Annette Street, 48.
At the time, Brayden and Scott were incarcerated at the Duchesne County Jail.
The investigation showed that Brayden used his inmate communication account to arrange and facilitate the acquisition and delivery of methamphetamine and Suboxone into the jail. The messages indicated that Brayden was a key player and organizer of the plan.
According to these conversations, Neddy agreed to hide methamphetamine, Suboxone, and a vape device inside a blue disposable glove, placing it at a specific spot near the south end of the Centennial Building fairgrounds next to a green electrical box and fence.
The evidence indicated that Scott, while working at the fairgrounds, would collect the package and bring its contents back to the jail.
The communications further demonstrated that Scott and Brayden discussed retrieving the package and introducing its contents through jail security and into the inmate housing units for inmate use. The communications showed Scott's participation in the plan and his knowledge that the package contained contraband intended for delivery to the Duchesne County Jail.
Based on the investigation, Cpl. Woodhouse, Sgt. Davis, and Deputy Ehrman proceeded to the identified drop site. There, deputies found a blue disposable glove exactly as described. Inside, they discovered suspected methamphetamine, Suboxone, and a vape device.
Cpl. Woodhouse also obtained a witness statement from a Duchesne County employee who positively identified Neddy Street and confirmed she was at the Centennial Building on June 4, 2026, when the contraband was deposited.
During her intake interview at the Duchesne County Jail, Neddy admitted to placing the glove with the items at the location. She recognized her actions were wrong, describing them as "stupid" and expressing regret.
In his interview, Brayden initially claimed he was not guilty since neither he nor Scott had taken possession of the drugs. He attempted to distance himself from the act, insisting he was not the person physically delivering the substances.
Brayden did acknowledge that Scott wanted a vape device, asserting that the vape was part of the incentive for Scott’s involvement in retrieving the package. He noted that Scott's desire for the vape influenced his willingness to participate.
Scott verified that the drop location is near a green electrical box at the Duchesne County Fairgrounds. This detail had not been shared with him prior to his statement.
Scott further stated that the package contained drugs. Before his disclosure, the contents of the glove had not been revealed to him. He specifically identified the items as a vape device and the "dope."
Despite Scott's attempts to deny his involvement, his knowledge of the precise drop location and the package's contents indicated that he was part of the scheme, consistent with the evidence gathered during the inquiry.
The combination of recorded communications, physical evidence found at the site, statements made during interviews, and corroborating information established that Brayden knowingly took part in an agreement to distribute methamphetamine and Suboxone to inmates at the Duchesne County Jail.
The investigation confirmed that Neddy Street intentionally participated in the plan to distribute controlled substances to incarcerated individuals. The substances included methamphetamine and Suboxone, with the vape device documented as evidence of the planned delivery.
