Uintah County Deputies were dispatched to a Hit and Run accident that was believed to have occurred at 500 South 2500 West in Uintah County.

The complainant reported that she was side-swiped, and the other vehicle fled the scene.

While Uintah County Deputies were en route, a Department of Wildlife Resource (DWR) Law Enforcement Officer radioed that he located the suspect vehicle and requested to make a traffic stop on the vehicle.

DWR Officer Fackrell stated he observed the suspect vehicle pull into a driveway on 3000 West and initiated a traffic stop. The DWR officer observed a female in the driver's seat and requested that she exit the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle provided a false name to an actual person but was later identified as 27-year-old Elizabeth Georgina Gardner.

Upon Deputy O'Donnal's arrival, he met and spoke with Elizabeth, where he detected a strong odor of alcohol in an open-air environment.

It was requested by the deputy to do the Field Sobriety Testing, but Elizabeth refused, and she was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.

During a search of Elizabeth's vehicle, a beer can and a large bottle of alcohol that was partially consumed were located.

While at the Jail, Elizabeth admitted to providing a false name when asked for her identity. She did so because she had warrants.

A records check of Elizabeth's Driver's License showed Suspended, 2nd, or Subsequent Per Se Arrest.

A criminal history check revealed Elizabeth was convicted of A DUI back in 2022.

Elizabeth was booked into the Uintah County Jail.

Elizabeth Georgina Gardner may post bail in the amount of $1,000.00.
