Colorado man arrested for public intoxication

Officer Escobedo was parked at the stoplight at 100 West and Main Street when a man stumbled across the road.
The officer approached the man, later identified as 47-year-old Michael Lawrence White from Denver, Colorado.
Officer Escobedo noticed that Michael was soaking wet along the inseam of his pants, and when he spoke, he slurred his words and smelled of alcohol. He denied drinking anything, refused to provide the officer with any ID, and said he had done nothing wrong.
It was explained to Michael that he isn’t allowed to use the crosswalk while the traffic light is green, and he began to argue that is exactly when you are supposed to use the crosswalk.
During this interaction, Michael became belligerent, shouting at the officer and providing his first and last name, followed by the statement, "Suck a fucking dick." While Officer Escobedo attempted to gain information to identify Michael, He stated, "Fuck you, No." and tried to walk off.
Michael continued to argue, stating that he had not committed a crime. It was explained again that he had crossed the crosswalk at an unlawful time, and he replied with, "Fuck you."
Michael was placed in handcuffs and arrested for public intoxication and failure to identify himself.
While conducting a search of Michael's person prior to placing him into a patrol vehicle, Michael continued to be belligerent, shouting profanities.
Officer Escobedo provided Michael with an explanation of what he was being arrested for. Still, he either could not understand or refused to listen and asked repeatedly what he was being arrested for.
Michael Lawrence White may post bail in the amount of $1,210.00.
