Roosevelt, Ut.- On 5/4/23, Cpl. Barton was dispatched to a residence in Roosevelt to assist AP&P on a house visit regarding a female identified as 34-year-old Brenda Lynn Lister.

When Cpl. Barton arrived, he made contact with the two AP&P agents, and they asked if Barton could deploy K9 Kris around Brenda's vehicle. Kris showed a change of behavior as he began sniffing the vehicle. Kris continued to the driver's side door and the passenger side. K9 Kris began sniffing intensely on the seam and showed a positive indication near the car's front passenger side that Brenda was driving.

The vehicle was searched and located meth, Adderall, and a couple of non-schedule drugs. The items were packaged as if they were to be sold in separate bags. There was also a prescription container with multiple empty baggies with marijuana inside them.

Cpl. Barton took possession of the narcotics and drug paraphernalia and placed them in his patrol vehicle.

They interviewed Brenda and advised her of her Miranda Rights. Brenda stated that the meth, marijuana, and pills belonged to her.

Brenda Lister was placed under arrest and transported to the Duchesne County Jail, where she was booked for possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a controlled substance (Adderall), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
