On Saturday night at around 9:30 pm, an adult minor was found passed out near the bathrooms in the parking lot at Red Fleet State Park, and a witness was unable to revive him.

When Deputy Oldham approached the State Park, dispatch informed him that the individual was beginning to regain consciousness.

The deputy arrived and saw that the ambulance was already on the scene, evaluating the young male. The deputy entered the ambulance to question the individual, who refused to answer any questions.

The Gold's Cross medic had the male's wallet and driver's license, identifying him as 18-year-old Michael York.

When questioned about his alcohol consumption, Michael stated that he drank too much. He told the deputy that his dad is an attorney and that he was not obligated to answer any further questions.

One of the EMTs stated Michael told them he had admitted to drinking tequila from around noon until he was found unconscious. After the deputy spoke with his supervisor, the decision was made to place Michael under arrest.

Before taking Michael to jail, he was offered the opportunity to provide a breath sample, which he refused. He was transported to the jail. At the jail, the staff offered Michael to take a breath test, and he refused once more.

Michael was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation before being returned to the Uintah County Jail. He was booked on the charges of obstruction of justice, illegal consumption by an adult minor, and public intoxication.

Michael York may post bail in the amount of $1,520.00.
