Officer McDavid was dispatched to a traffic accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV near the intersection of 1900 South and 2000 East. Dispatch informed the officer that the motorcycle had two occupants, and the SUV had one.

While en route to the location, the officer was given updated information that both parties had left the scene. Dispatch then informed the complainant, who spoke to one of the individuals from the motorcycle and was told they were okay and that it was a domestic situation. The motorcycle was wheeled away, and the car drove away.

Officer McDavid contacted the complainant and asked what had happened. He stated that the motorcycle was being followed closely by the SUV, and at one point, the SUV swerved into the opposite lane and then back into the original lane, side-swiping the motorcycle and causing it to crash.

Dispatch had updated information regarding the accident via a second call to 911. A female called in, stating that she had just received a phone call from her son saying he was just hit by a car on his motorcycle.

A female then approached Officer McDavid in a white Dodge pickup and told him the two people involved in the accident on the motorcycle were at her home. The officer followed the female to a residence, and upon arriving, Officer McDavid noticed a motorcycle parked next to the curb.

The officer exited his vehicle and approached the male sitting in a chair, holding a bloody paper towel to the left side of his head. The male had scrapes on his right thumb, scrapes on the back of his left hand and down the fingers, a large scrape on his left knee, and scrapes on the left side of his face. The injuries appeared as if the individual slid on the pavement.

The male moved the bloody paper towel, and he had scrapes on his left cheek and the left side of his forehead. There was also a raised area on his forehead consistent with a head injury.

Officer McDavid asked the male what had happened and if he was okay with the Ambulance coming to check him out. The male agreed to be checked out by the Ambulance but refused to go to the hospital and signed the release waiver.

After the Ambulance left, the male stated he and his girlfriend had been struck while riding his motorcycle. The male then informed the officer that the vehicle he was struck by was registered to his wife, stating that she was the one driving. Officer McDavid asked the male what his wife's name was, and she was identified as 34-year-old Brittni Paige Holmes.

The male stated that he and his girlfriend had participated in a large motorcycle ride earlier in the day, and he had not spoken with Holmes at all throughout the day. The male then said that there was no reason Holmes should know where he was and found it odd that she did.

The female stated that Brittni Holmes was driving the vehicle that struck them. The female passenger on the motorcycle received two scrapes from the incident, one to her left elbow and one to her left ankle. The female informed me that she had landed on the male as the motorcycle had crashed and stayed on him as they slid across the road.

Officer McDavid took photographs of the injuries to both parties and asked if they knew where to find Holmes, to which they replied they did not.

The female followed as the officer walked over to the motorcycle to take photographs. She then started pointing to the motorcycle, talking about the incident.

The female stated that Holmes was following them closely and that she had tapped the rear bar of the motorcycle with the front bumper of her vehicle. She then swerved into the other lane and then back into the original lane, striking the bike near the back tire. The female then stated that she must have accelerated when entering the other lane because her leg, which was on the footpeg located just in front of the rear tire, was almost hit by the vehicle's front bumper.

Officer McDavid noticed damage on the left side of the motorcycle consistent with sliding. The rear bar of the motorcycle was bent, the left rear shock was scraped, and the clutch cover also sustained scrapes.

The male stated that he did not know where Holmes might be but that he could think of someone who might be. The officer was given an address, and Deputy Jones and Deputy Oldham went to the location in an attempt to contact Holmes.

An attempt to locate was issued in order to find the vehicle as it was not at the address the police were given.

Dispatch informed Deputy Oldham that he had a follow-up pending regarding Holmes. She was now at the address they were given earlier by the male. Deputy Oldham went to the address and placed Holmes under arrest. Holmes was then transported to the Uintah County Jail.

Officer McDavid interviewed Holmes after she arrived at the jail and read her Miranda Warning. She agreed to speak with him about the incident.

Holmes stated that she did not believe she had done anything wrong. Holmes stated that she had seen the male and female leaving the 7-11, located on the corner of 2500 S and 1500 E in Naples. Holmes stated that she followed them eastbound on 2500 S to the intersection of 2500 S and 2000 E, to which the male and female on the motorcycle made a left-hand turn. Holmes stated that she continued to follow them, and at this point, she felt stupid for following them and attempted to pass them in the left lane.

Holmes then stated that the motorcycle sped up to keep her from passing, and as she came back into the original lane, she struck the motorcycle. Holmes stated that she was aware the motorcycle had crashed.

Officer McDavid asked why she left the scene if she knew the motorcycle had crashed. She stated that she just wanted to get out of there and figured they were fine.

Officer McGaha collected witness statements from the original complainant, who stated that he observed the motorcycle being followed by an SUV and that the individuals on the bike and Holmes were screaming at each other. The complainant stated that he observed the car go into the other lane, then swerve into the bike, knocking them over, and then take off.

Brittni Holmes was booked into the Uintah County Jail on the following charges:

Road Rage Enhancement: 76-3-203.17(2)(D) - In response to seeing her husband on a motorcycle with another female and striking said motorcycle after Holmes stated she had been following them for about a mile.

Brittni Holmes is being held without bail.
