An Officer Gets Called To Beto’s At 1800 W Highway 40 For An Intoxicated Male

Vernal, Ut.- On 01/19/2023, Officer Elmer responded to a call at Beto's at 1800 West US40 for a possibly intoxicated male when he arrived and met with the male subject, who was identified as Robert Edward Wingo.

While speaking with Robert, Officer Elmer noticed he could not stand up straight without swaying or leaning against the wall to brace himself. He could not smell the odor of alcohol coming off his person and asked if he needed to be seen by medical personnel.

Robert requested to be seen by medical personnel and transported to Ashley Regional Medical Center.

While Robert was at Ashley Regional Medical Center, Officer Elmer learned that Robert had four State Wide Warrants for his arrest. After Ashley Regional had medically cleared Robert, he was arrested for State Wide Warrants.

Robert was taken into custody and searched before being transported to Uintah County Jail. While searching Robert, a black bag containing syringes with a dark residue coating the inside of them and a white bottle with bags that contained a crystal-like substance that resembled Methamphetamine.

Robert also had multiple bags of Suboxone on his person. When asked about the Suboxone, Robert stated that he had a prescription but could not provide one.

Robert was then transported and booked into the Uintah County jail on State Wide Warrants and for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Synthetic Narcotics.
