An intoxicated man walks into the Uintah County Jail and demands to be arrested

Around 1 AM on 2/15/26, Cpl. Moody was working in the booking area in the Uintah County Jail when he heard loud banging coming from the jail’s lobby.
Deputy Huffaker, Deputy Smuin, and Cpl. Moody went to the lobby, where they heard the banging. They entered the sally port and saw a man later identified as 24-year-old Brad Clay Crozier in the lobby on the other side of the door, through a plexiglass window.
Crozier began hitting the door, demanding that the deputies arrest him because he needed to get away from his girlfriend. She was also in the lobby with him, urging him to calm down, and told the deputies that he was drunk. Cpl. Moody told Crozier to calm down so they could work out the issue, but Crozier kept banging on the door, demanding to be arrested. Crozier then asked if he needed to hit his girlfriend to get arrested.
Once Crozier made that statement, the deputies decided that his girlfriend could be in danger.
The deputies walked around to the lobby to meet Crozier. As they were approaching the lobby, Crozier and his girlfriend were leaving the lobby.
When Crozier saw the deputies, he immediately rushed toward Deputy Smuin with his hands out in front of him, yelling that they needed to arrest him.
Crozier got close enough to Deputy Smuin and Cpl. Moody who repeatedly ordered Crozier to step back. Crozier ignored their direct orders and continued to walk toward Deputy Smuin with his hands stretched out.
Cpl. Moody and Deputy Smuin grabbed Crozier's arms and put him on the ground, where they were able to restrain him and take him into jail.
When they arrived at the jail, Crozier submitted to a preliminary breath test (PBT), which showed his blood alcohol content (BAC) was .131.
After being read his rights, Crozier was asked by Cpl. Moody what had happened, and Crozier stated that he had been at the bar when his roommate kicked him in the genitals. This made Crozier angry, and he started to throw tables and chairs around the bar. The bouncer was going to kick him out, so he left the bar and walked to the Uintah County Jail, acting erratically, knowing he would get arrested.
Crozier also stated he wanted to be away from his girlfriend, and he knew hitting the doors in the jail and refusing direct orders from law enforcement would be enough to get him arrested.
Brad Clay Crozier was booked into the Uintah County Jail for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
