An anonymous caller turns in a female for drinking and driving

Vernal, Utah (5/16/26)—Central Dispatch put out an ATL on an intoxicated driver who had been drinking and driving all day, and could barely stand up.
The caller also stated that she was driving a newer model Jeep Wrangler and gave a license plate number.
A short time later, a white Jeep Wrangler was spotted parked at the Top Stop on 1500 E 500 S with the same license plate number. The Jeep passed by the officer while in the parking lot, and he recognized the driver as 50-year-old Carly Yates.
As Carly left the parking lot and turned left, she failed to come to a complete stop before entering the roadway. She then went North on 1500 E and turned into the parking lot of Heritage Chevrolet. The officer pulled into the parking lot right behind her.
The officer asked Carly if she had been drinking any alcohol, and she said, "No."
Due to the ATL of Carly being called in as an intoxicated driver, and the officer smelling the odor of alcohol coming from Carly, He requested that she do a series of field sobriety tests.
After performing the HGN test, Officer Samuels didn’t think Carly was telling the truth about drinking alcohol. She did admit to drinking two glasses of wine.
A records check was conducted on Carly, and it was found that her driver's license was revoked (alcohol), and she is an alcohol restricted driver, and is required to have an ignition interlock device.
Carly Yates was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail, where she submitted to a breath test, which indicated a .122 BrAC.
Carly was booked into Jail for DUI, a 3rd degree felony- she has had three convictions within 10 years, ignition interlock violation, alcohol restricted driver, and driving on a revoked driver's license.
