At around 2 am, Uintah County Deputies responded to a residence on a report of a drug overdose.
The caller reported that his neighbors have a history of overdosing, and he believed someone was currently overdosing.
Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with the homeowner and found no evidence of an overdose. Several juveniles were present in the home, but all were confirmed to be okay.
Deputy Roth then spoke with the caller, 34-year-old Mitchiel Colton Hadlock, to gather more information about his report. During their interaction, Deputy Roth noticed Mitchiel exhibited abnormal behavior, including attempting to hide from the deputy's flashlight and emptying his pockets without being asked.
Mr. Hadlock provided inconsistent statements regarding the alleged overdose and his interactions with the neighbors, and the odor of alcohol on his person was slurring his words.
A records check revealed that Mitchiel was an alcohol-restricted driver with a revoked driver's license and that he was on 24-month probation for a DUI and was prohibited from consuming alcohol.
The investigation concluded that Mitchiel had likely falsely reported the overdose while under the influence of alcohol. His refusal to provide information to dispatch and answer questions on scene further supported this conclusion.
Mitchiel Hadlock was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail for booking.
Mitchiel Colton Hadlock may post bail in the amount of $690.00.
