The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a vehicle burglary near 100 North 100 West in Myton, Ut. The complainant noticed his mother's car interior light was on and went outside to turn it off.

When the complainant attempted to open the car door, a female inside the vehicle pulled the door closed.

When the complainant opened the door, the female began screaming, telling him to leave her alone. The complainant told her to get out of his mother's car, but the female continued to yell, saying she was getting her car and leaving.

The female then got out of the car and walked across the street.

The complainant stated that the female had rummaged through the vehicle, scattering items everywhere and taking an unknown number of items.

Deputy Borrelli made contact with 46-year-old Jessi Marie Overson, who was sitting outside of the house across the street with the neighbor. She began yelling that her face hurt because the people across the street punched her.

When asked what happened, she stated she was punched, and she doesn't remember anything else. The deputy attempted to ask questions but said she did not remember anything.

While Jessi was talking, she smelled strongly of alcohol. She stated she was very drunk and did not know where she was or how she got there, and didn’t remember anything. She said, “I was just in my mom’s car,” and then said, “I don’t know what car I was in.”

It was later discovered that the blanket Jessi had wrapped around her had been stolen from the vehicle.

Jessi was intoxicated to the point she was unable to answer simple questions, remember things that recently happened, walk without assistance, or follow simple commands when asked to walk to the patrol vehicle.

Jessi was placed under arrest and handcuffed behind her back and then secured in the back of the patrol vehicle.

Deputy Borrelli talked to the complainant again and inspected his hands, and there were no visible signs that indicated he had hit anyone or anything.

Jessi was then transported to the Uintah Basin Medical Center (UBMC). While at the hospital, Jessi began screaming and was told multiple times by the deputy to stop yelling due to other patients in the hospital. Jessi said she did not care and continued to scream.

The deputy told Jessi that if she continued to yell, she would receive an additional criminal charge for disorderly conduct. Jessi again yelled she didn't care and continued to scream while inside the hospital.

Once Jessi was cleared, she was taken to the Duchesne County Jail and booked for vehicle burglary, intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
