A Uintah County woman arrested on assault charges

Travis Uresk

2/27/24

Uintah County, Ut.- On February 23rd, 2024, Deputy Roth and other officers responded to a residence on a report of domestic violence. When the officers arrived, the door was answered by an intoxicated male. When the door opened, the officers saw a female lying on the floor that appeared to be unconscious.

The male was detained and placed in the back of a patrol car, where Deputy Roth spoke with him while another officer talked to the female, who was identified as 40-year-old Erin Louise Robertson.

While speaking with the male, he explained that he and Erin had been drinking when they began to argue. During the argument, the complainant came home, witnessed the two fighting, called 911, reported the incident, and then left the residence.

The male had an injury to his forehead and was complaining of pain on the right side of his jaw. Deputy Roth examined his jaw and found he had sustained another injury, and there was dried blood and swelling in his jaw.

When asked about his injuries, the male stated he had fallen and that the incident was a misunderstanding. He then said he and Erin were drinking and fighting and that Erin hit him in the face multiple times.

Erin was interviewed at the hospital by Deputy Roth, and she stated she was drinking a lot of Vodka, going to bed, and then waking up in the hospital. She claimed she didn't remember anything that had occurred but explained that she began drinking to forget about the recent passing of a family member.

When asked about the injuries to the male, she stated she didn't know anything about them but said, "He is lucky to have his vision."

When questioned about her statement, Erin refused to answer.

Once released from the hospital, Erin was arrested and transported to the Uintah County Jail.
