A Uintah County man arrested for interfering with a peace officer and assault.

(Vernal, Ut. 2/23/2026) The Uintah County Sheriff's Office dispatched a deputy to a domestic incident report from earlier in the morning, around 3 AM. The victim was away from her home, so the deputy met with her in a parking lot.

When the deputy arrived, the male suspect was in the parking lot with the victim, and they appeared to be having a slightly elevated conversation. The suspect was reported to be a 44-year-old man, Hadgi Donsha Robinson.

The deputy separated the two and took the victim aside. Another deputy arrived and stayed with Hadgi.

While the deputy spoke with the victim, he noticed that she was in fear due to her consistently side-eyeing Hadgi and turning away from him with her head down, and she was slightly shaking. She told the deputy she didn't want to discuss what had happened in front of Hadgi.

The deputy took the woman inside the building and away from Hadgi, and she began telling him that she had recently had a birthday and wanted a piece of her cake, and that some of her coworkers had gotten it for her. This upset Hadgi and sparked an argument. So she slept on the couch that evening.

At around 3 AM, Hadgi came into the living room, grabbed her by the shirt, and threw her to the ground. This caused the victim to receive several deep scratches on her chest that had dried blood on them. The victim stated Hadgi forced her to give him her phone, and he took it from her and went through it for a couple of hours.

When Hadgi was done, he returned to the front room, grabbed the victim by the back of the neck, and dragged her to the bedroom, where he threw the victim onto the floor, causing her to fall on her knees, sustaining scratches, as Hadgi continued to yell at her.

The argument then de-escalated because the victim had to get ready to go to work, at which point she was able to call to report the incident.

After the deputy spoke to the victim, he returned outside to speak with Hadgi and asked him what had happened the night before. Hadgi stated nothing happened. When the deputy asked what had happened with the phone, Hadgi said he and the victim had gotten into an argument, but nothing else had happened.

The deputy stated that, due to his previous experience with Hadgi, who was uncooperative and stated nothing had taken place, the deputy informed Hadgi that he was under arrest.

Hadgi had his hands in his coat pockets when the deputy grabbed Hadgi's arm to place his hands behind his back, and he began to pull away from the deputy. Hadgi was ordered to comply by the police, but he continued to pull away and resist arrest. Three officers had to use force to place Hadgi on the ground, roll him over onto his stomach, and order him to put his hands behind his back.

Hadgi continued to hold the inside of his pockets and would not put his hands behind his back. An officer forcefully pulled Hadgi's hand out of his coat pocket and got one hand behind his back. Hadgi had his phone in his pocket, turned sideways, and an officer had to pull his hand out forcefully.

Hadgi was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Uintah County Jail.
