Vernal City Police responded to the Silver Pines Apartment Complex at building H to a report of a male who was possibly intoxicated and seen on camera attempting to enter several apartments.

When Officer Maughan arrived on the scene, he was directed by the complainant to a male who was standing on the third floor, identified as 22-year-old Jordan Quade Checora.

The complainant provided the officer with video evidence of Jordan stumbling down the hallway on the second floor, as well as going to the neighbor's door multiple times, leaning on the door, knocking, and trying to open it.

Officer Maughan spoke with Jordan and could detect the odor of alcohol coming from his breath. At the same time, Jordan swayed back and forth as he told the officer he had drunk a lot of alcohol at the bar and tried to give Officer Maughan his credit card instead of his driver's license.

Jordan denied ever being on the second floor several times, even after the officer told him he had video footage of him knocking on a door on the second floor.

Jordan submitted to a portable breath test, which resulted in a BrAC of .207.

Mr. Checora was arrested for public intoxication and taken to the Uintah County Jail.

Jordan Quade Checora may post bail in the amount of $230.00.

If Jordan posts bail as stated above, Jordan Quade Checora is hereby ordered to be released subject to the following conditions:

• Promise to appear for all required court proceedings

• Promise to not commit any criminal offense

• Report your contact information and any change in address, phone, or email to the Court and your attorney within 1 business day of the change

• Complete Check-in contact daily by phone

• Complete Pretrial Supervision intake appointment within 72 hours after jail release

• Receive hearing date reminders

• Report for Drug Screening 2x per week if indicated by probable cause and/or assessment

• Report in person 1x per week for supervision appointment

• Report to Pretrial Supervision immediately after jail release

In those jurisdictions where pretrial release and supervision authority has been granted by written agreement, defendants may be released to pretrial services without posting bail, consistent with the terms of that agreement.
