Roosevelt, Ut.- On 11/27/2021 at around 7:10 pm, Officers responded to a report of a domestic in progress. When Officers arrived, the male, 27-year-old Levi Martinez, was outside and was immediately detained.
Officer Allred went up the stairs to the apartment and spoke with the victim. The victim told me that they had begun arguing, and she told him to leave. She told Officer Allred that he pushed her into the bathroom door and punched her in the mouth.
The Officer saw the swelling of her lower lip while speaking with him. She then told him that he had grabbed her throat and pinched it closed so she couldn't breathe.
Levi then grabbed a knife and swung it at her stating that he would kill her. The victim's neighbor then called 911, and Levi left the apartment and waited outside for law enforcement to arrive.
Officer Allred asked The Victim what had happened to the door as it appeared to have been kicked in. the trim around the door had been broken and was lying on the floor near the door.
The victim informed me that on 11/23/2021, sometime in the middle of the night, Levi had returned to the apartment and kicked the door in. He asked the victim if he lived there, and she stated that he kind of stays there sometimes.
Roosevelt, Ut.- On November 20, 2022, Officer Barton was following up on a Burglary Case at Stoneridge Apartment in Roosevelt City, Utah. When he arrived and made contact with a female and asked about getting the property information. Officer Barton heard a male and female in the back.
Officer Barton asked if the victim was home, and she said no. He asked who was there, and she said just a female friend. Officer Barton told her that a male was there too and to have them come talk to me.
A short while later, both male and female walked into the living room, and Officer Barton asked if they had witnessed anything or if they lived there. They said that they didn't. He then asked who they were. The male was very hesitant and asked about being on probation, and the male, who was later identified as Levi Martinez, said he was.
Officer Barton ran his information, and dispatch informed him that Levi had a no-bail warrant and was on probation with AP&P.
Levi was placed under arrest, and while transporting him, Officer Barton asked if he had any illegal substance on his person. I told him it's a felony to bring it to jail.
Levi again said he didn't. I arrived and advised the jail of Levi being in the bathroom for some time and his using drugs yesterday.
Officer Barton was later informed that the jail searched Levi, and a bag that was used for packaging illegal narcotics were located on Levi with a testable amount of methamphetamine.
Levi was booked in on the warrant, possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in a jail facility. Both are 3rd Degree Felonies.
