A male with a firearm threatens to kill a female and bury her in a ditch.

Uintah County (5/27/26)—Uintah County Deputies were advised by dispatch of a call that an individual could hear a male and female fighting. While deputies were en route, dispatch advised the two were now outside physically fighting, and the male had a firearm.
As Deputy Oldham approached the residence, the male had left but shortly returned and threatened to get into an altercation with law enforcement.
The house sits off the main road down a dirt lane, and Deputy Oldham could see two people at the end of the lane. When he got to them, he saw a female trying to grab the male, who was actively trying to avoid her.
The deputy got out of his patrol vehicle with his K9. The male began walking toward the deputy with his hands in the air while the deputy issued lawful commands for the suspect to get on the ground.
Once the male was on the ground, Deputy McDavid secured the male in handcuffs. The male was later identified as 41-year-old Skyler Deloss Patton.
Once Skyler was secured in the back of a patrol vehicle, the female was interviewed. She stated they have livestock on the property where Skyler resides. When she came to take care of the livestock, Skyler began yelling at her. The female stated that she and another female became aggressive toward Skyler, but said nothing physical occurred; it was just verbal. Skyler then threatened the female, saying he was going to kill them and bury them in a ditch on the property.
Skyler then went to his vehicle and retrieved a silver long-barreled handgun. The female told the deputy they believed the handgun was a real gun and was scared for their life. Skyler remained in the vehicle, brandishing the handgun and holding it in a position to allow the females to see it. The handgun was later located in a woodpile and was identified as a pellet gun.
Skylar then left the property, but shortly returned. The other female began grabbing at the handgun to get it away from Skyler. Once she successfully got the handgun away from him, she placed it in the woodpile. He then produced another AR-style rifle and was threatening to use that rifle on law enforcement. The female again attempted to take the rifle out of Skyler's hand, but Skyler threw it over the fence, where the victim retrieved the rifle.
While law enforcement was on the property, they found the rifle near the victim's vehicle, and while checking the firearm, they also found another pellet gun. There was another pellet gun near a shed where the male and the female were detained by law enforcement. That gun, along with the other two guns, was seized and booked into evidence.
Skyler told Deputy Oldham that he does not get along with the victim. When she showed up, he said he was already having a bad day, and seeing her only made it worse. Skyler said there wasn't anything physical between them, only her trying to get him to calm down, and told the deputy he had been drinking throughout the day.
When asked about threatening the victim, Skyler stated he would never hurt a woman. The deputy felt like he wasn’t telling the whole truth, and asked again. Skyler stated that he and the victim have not had a good relationship in a long time and mentioned putting her in the canal.
Skyler was then transported to the Uintah County Jail.
