A male and female were arrested during a traffic stop for warrants and drugs

Ballard, Utah—On March 31st, 2026, Deputy Fairey conducted a traffic stop on a silver Nissan car at 2800 East Main in Ballard, Utah.
Prior to initiating the stop, the deputy conducted a registration check, which returned information indicating that the car's registration was revoked and that a letter requesting proof of insurance had been sent.
Deputy Fairey made contact with the two occupants, and the male identified himself as 37-year-old Francisco John Ontiveros. During their conversation, Francisco admitted that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license. He claimed he was unaware that the vehicle's registration had been revoked and stated that it belonged to a family member. When asked about possible warrants, Francisco indicated he was unsure if any existed for him.
The female passenger appeared familiar to the deputy, but was initially reluctant to look at Deputy Fairey or make eye contact. She eventually identified herself as 24-year-old Kamry Post, whom the deputy recognized from previous law enforcement encounters.
The deputy requested dispatch to verify Kamry’s and Francisco’s information, which revealed six active arrest warrants from the Vernal 8th District Court and Duchesne 8th District Court for controlled substances, driver's license, and traffic offenses.
Dispatch located one active arrest warrant for Francisco out of the 3rd District Court in Salt Lake. Francisco was taken into custody and transported to the Uintah County Jail, where he was booked on the active warrant and on additional charges of driving on a revoked license, operating a vehicle with a revoked registration, and operating a vehicle without insurance.
Kamry was taken into custody on active warrants, and, due to the vehicle's registration, an inventory search of the vehicle was conducted before impounding the car.
During this search, an assisting deputy located a purse on the passenger side where Kamry had been seated. The purse contained money, valuables, and a wallet with identification and debit cards belonging to Kamry Post. Inside the purse was a black zipper pouch containing a clear container with a white crystalline substance, along with other items of drug paraphernalia.
Kamry identified the purse as hers and admitted that the two containers in the black pouch contained methamphetamine. She further acknowledged having used methamphetamine the previous day and stated that all items located in the purse belonged to her for personal use.
Prior to booking, Deputy Fairey checked Kamry's criminal history and found six recent misdemeanor A convictions beginning in July 2020, with the most recent in April 2024. Additionally, she had two separate felony three convictions from January and December 2023 for possession of marijuana and dangerous drugs, respectively.
Kamry Post was booked into the Uintah County Jail on her existing warrants and the additional charges of: Felony three Possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance (methamphetamine) with priors, and Misdemeanor B Possession of drug paraphernalia.
The possession charge was enhanced to a third-degree felony due to her prior convictions. The black pouch and containers were booked into evidence at the sheriff's office and submitted for testing to confirm the presence of illegal drugs.
