Deputy Fairey was patrolling in the Lapoint area when he saw a truck he recognized from previous encounters. The female was wanted on multiple no-bail warrants out of Vernal.
The deputy followed the truck as it turned onto a side street and pulled into a driveway.
The male driver got out of the truck and told the deputy that the female jumped out and ran into the nearby trees.
Deputy Fairey initially didn't see the female in the vehicle but noticed a black backpack on the floorboard. During further inspection, he found the female hiding on the rear passenger floorboard.
The deputy took 38-year-old Brittanny Adair Curletto into custody for her warrants.
Brittanny stated that the backpack was hers and there could be pieces of tinfoil with burnt Fentanyl residue on them.
When searching the backpack, two pieces of tinfoil were found inside an inner pocket, which contained burnt residue. Brittany admitted to concealing items in her bra and gave a metal tooter pipe and a folded piece of tinfoil to the deputy.
Brittany stated she had used the tooter to consume fentanyl approximately 14 hours earlier.
42-year-old David Ezequiel Curletto was also placed under arrest for obstruction of justice.
Brittany and David were transported and booked into the Uintah County Jail.
Brittanny Curletto may post bail in the amount of $2,500.00.
