Vernal, Ut. - On 11/21/23, Vernal City Police were dispatched to a call for service at a residence located within Vernal City. Officer White arrived on scene at approximately 6:00 pm and spoke with the complainant, who stated that she wanted to trespass some individuals who had been allowed to live there for an extended period of time.
One of those individuals had been found in a room on the bottom floor of the residence. Officer White made contact with a female inside a bedroom who was identified as 35-year-old Kristin Lynn Goff, who stated she and her significant other had been staying in.
While Officer White was speaking with Kristin, he observed a marijuana pipe as well as a small circular mirror that had meth on it. Those drugs had been sitting on the bottom shelf of a table located next to a bed. Sitting on that bed had been Kristin's juvenile son, who had been within arm's reach of the meth and the pipe.
While speaking with Kristin, she stated that only she and her significant other live in that room. Officer White asked Kristin who the drugs belonged to, and she said she didn't know. She later stated that the day before, she and her significant other had used drugs.
Kristin was placed into handcuffs and transported to the Uintah County Jail.
