A Female Asks For A Deputy To Be With Her While Gathering Some Items, Ex Ends Up Going To Jail

7/9/24

| Vernal, Ut. | July 4th, 2024 |

Deputy Russell spoke with a female via phone who stated she would like an officer to come with her while she gathers a few items from a residence where her ex-boyfriend lives.

The deputy arrived and met with the female to keep the peace for her while she retrieved a few things from the residence.

After keeping the peace, the female made a statement that she had been abused by her ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Brennon Blair Greenhow. Deputy Russell asked her when the assault had taken place, and she said it happened just a few minutes before she called for the keep the peace.

The deputy noticed Brennon in his vehicle about to leave and flagged him down, telling him to wait. He needed to talk to him.

Deputy Russell began speaking with the female about the incident. She started telling the deputy she and Brennon were arguing, and he grabbed her with both hands by her hair and shoved her head into the wall.

After Brennon shoved her against the wall, he grabbed her by the throat, making it hard to breathe. When he let go, he pushed her to the ground, nearly hitting her head on the TV stand.

The deputy then went to speak with Brennon, who was still sitting in the vehicle. Deputy Russell asked him to tell him his side of the altercation.

Brennon began telling the deputy that they had been in an argument, and it had gotten physical, and he pushed her into the wall. Brennon stated after that, he doesn't remember what happened because when he gets that mad, he blacks out.

Brennon was asked to exit the vehicle and was placed under arrest and then escorted to Deputy Ogles's truck, which transported Brennon to the Uintah County Jail.

The victim's neck was photographed with some minor red marks, and her eyes were bloodshot and red, but the deputy was unsure if it was from being choked or because she had been crying.

Brennon was booked into Uintah County Jail on one charge of aggravated assault and domestic violence, a class 3 felony.

The current offense is a felony. The court finds substantial evidence to support the charge and finds by clear and convincing evidence that Brennon Blair Greenhow violated a

material condition of release while previously on bail.

The current offense is a Domestic Violence offense. The court finds substantial evidence to support the charge and finds by clear and convincing evidence that Brennon Greenhow would constitute a significant danger to an alleged victim of domestic violence if released on bail.

Therefore, the court orders that Brennon Blair Greenhow is to be held without bail.
