A Duchesne County man arrested for sexual battery on his girlfriend

A Duchesne County Deputy was dispatched to a residence in Cederview on the report of a domestic dispute.
The reporting party, 51-year-old Jedediah (Jed) Billy Scott, had reported to dispatch that his girlfriend punched him in the face, and his eye was bleeding.
When Cpl. Cox arrived on the scene and met with Jed inside the home. Jed stated that the female was in the garage and that she was upset, and he was trying to hold onto her to comfort his girlfriend.
Jed said she freaked out and hit him in the face. The officer could see blood on the bridge of his nose and asked Jed if the female had told him to let her go. He stated that she did, but he was trying to provide comfort to her.
Cpl. Cox went into the garage to speak to the female, who appeared frustrated. She stated there had been previous incidents when they lived near Naples, Utah, that had been investigated, but nothing ever happened.
At first, she didn't want to speak with the deputy. Cpl. Cox told her he would like to hear her side of the story because he only had Jed's story to go by. The deputy noticed that the female had scabs on her forehead that appeared to have started bleeding. The deputy asked about them, and she said they were from a previous incident. She also had red marks on her neck.
The female began to tell Cpl. Cox about what had occurred. She said that Jed keeps whipping out his private parts on her and thinks it is funny. She then went to the garage upset and told him not to talk to her.
She said that Jed has been doing this where he pulls his penis out for the last several days.
She then went into their office to try and calm herself down. Jed went into the office and held onto her. He wouldn't let go and kept grabbing her wherever he could get ahold of them. She tried holding onto the bottom of the closet door, and he kept grabbing and pulling her and had his arm around her neck. She said they were rolling around on the floor, and she was able to get on top of him and pin him with her legs, and she punched him to get away.
The female said when he had his arm around her neck, it caused her to be unable to breathe, and she let go of the door, and then she was able to breathe.
Jed admitted that he did restrain his girlfriend while in the office, and the deputy asked about the issue of him pulling his genitals out. He stated that he did do that, but he stopped when he realized she didn't want to have sex.
Cpl. Cox advised Jed that based on what they are both saying and Jed restraining the female against her will, she would've been justified when she punched him to get away.
Jed Scott was arrested and taken to the Duchesne County Jail.
