A Duchesne County Deputy solves the mysterious thefts on Strawberry Road

A Duchesne County Deputy was dispatched to a residence near 34000 West Strawberry Road on a report of a theft.
The reporting party was 29-year-old David John (DJ) Dudleston. DJ has called in multiple times since the day before, saying people are stealing cows and other things from him and his property.
On this date, DJ said someone had returned to his property, driving a black truck and pulling a trailer. When they left, they had turned East on Strawberry Road from the property.
Deputy Cox was on Strawberry Road within minutes, drove all the way down, and never saw another vehicle. The deputy came across DJ and a female East of DJ's property. Deputy Cox spoke with DJ about the issue and went to search another area where he claimed the suspects would be. He never saw a single vehicle.
The deputy returned to DJ's property and spoke with the female with him. She stated she never actually saw anyone on the property.
Deputy Cox believed, based on speaking with DJ and the reports he is calling in, that he may be under the influence of a controlled substance.
After the deputy spoke with DJ, he saw him again leave his property with the female. DJ is currently on an ankle monitor pre-trial release.
Lt. Hargis, who is DJ's probation officer, wanted Deputy Cox to take DJ into custody because he failed to show up to do a drug test and is also not supposed to leave the property without notifying Lt. Hargis.
Deputy Cox drove to the last place he saw DJ and came upon him, and the female stopped on the road. He told DJ that Lt. Hargis wanted him brought to the jail for a drug test. Before placing DJ into the patrol vehicle, he told the deputy over the weekend that he had been drinking and used some dope.
DJ was transported to the Duchesne County Jail, where they met with Lt. Hargis. Lt. Hargis confirmed that DJ is alcohol interdicted and not allowed to purchase, possess, or consume alcoholic beverages.
Deputy Cox read DJ his Miranda rights, which he stated that he understood. The deputy asked DJ to tell him about what happened over the weekend. DJ stated that he did one line of meth and drank alcohol yesterday at his home, and he said he got a fifth of alcohol from his mother's house.
DJ was then brought into the jail, and a urine test was provided to him. The UA showed positive results for Methamphetamine, amphetamines, and alcohol.
DJ is charged with interdicting a person as he was in possession of and consuming alcohol on 10/5/24. DJ is also charged with use of possession of a controlled substance as he admitted to using methamphetamine in Duchesne County on 10/5/24 and showed a positive drug test result.
