A search warrant was executed at 380 E 650 N. In the process of the warrant, suspected methamphetamine was located in the master bedroom. The meth was on the side of the bed, and 30-year-old Kaycee Alletta Engavo-Farrer advised the police that it was 37-year-old John Arlen Garcia's side of the bedroom.

In the search of the garage, two meth pipes with a testable amount of meth were also found. Kaycee advised that John spends all of his time out in the garage. Based on other information received, John uses the garage as a place to use and distribute illegal drugs.

The meth was located where their 2-year-old could easily access it. In the garage where the suspected methamphetamine was located, there was a child's blanket and stuffed animal, and the pipes were sitting in the open where they could be reached.

On 9/21/2023, an order from the juvenile court was received advising John Garcia to stay away from his child and to have only contact with him under the direction of DCFS. The order confirmed that John was presented when the order was issued.

John has been convicted of distribution of a controlled substance. This offense is a felony due to this and his other priors charges. This will be enhanced to a felony. John was transported and booked into the Duchesne County jail for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a 3rd-degree felony, child endangerment, a 3rd-degree felony, violation of a protective order, a class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor.
