On Saturday, a citizen called into dispatch stating they saw a Chevy Malibu parked on the side of the road with a male drinking beer near the intersection of 3500 W 500 N around 4 pm.

Deputy Fairey observed the vehicle traveling East on 500 North tailgating a pickup truck and swerving out of its travel lane into westbound traffic.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Chevy Malibu near 2700 W 500 N.

UHP Trooper Searle arrived on the scene and spoke with the driver, who didn't speak English. While speaking with the driver, the trooper noticed multiple Budweiser cans behind the front passenger seat.

During a Terry Frisk of the driver’s person, the trooper found a passport identifying him as 31-year-old Antonio Dominguez Dominguez.

Agent Ryan, with the FBI, was contacted to translate the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests into Spanish. Dominguez refused to provide a breath sample.

Due to the totality of the circumstances, it was determined by Trooper Searle that Dominguez was not safe to be operating a motor vehicle, and he was placed under arrest.

Dominguez informed the officers that he did not have a valid driver's license, and they were unable to find one during a records check.

He was then transported to the Uintah County jail and booked in on charges of driving under the influence. An open container of alcohol within a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without a valid license, failure to operate within a single lane, and following another car closer than is prudent/safe.

Antonio Dominguez Dominguez may post bail in the amount of $2,030.00.
