911 receives a call from a woman crying, “Help me, he is going to hurt me.”

(Duchesne County) On the evening of March 6^th, 2026, Deputy Phillips responded to a 911 unknown call where the caller told dispatch, "she needed help, he is going to hurt me."

Dispatch was unable to communicate with the female, but had an open line, and could hear someone say that they had thrown her to the ground. The call got disconnected, but the female called back, saying, "He is hurting me, and he is going to kill me."

When the deputy arrived, Officer Bellon from the Roosevelt Police Department was on scene. They made their way up to the house and could hear two people arguing inside. Police knocked on the door, and the yelling escalated; they could hear someone approaching the door while yelling.

Deputy Phillips knocked on the door again, and 64-year-old Brad Lowell Killpack opened the door. There was a male and a female inside the residence, with the female standing at the top of the stairs, crying. Officer Bellon stayed with the Victim while Deputy Phillips took Brad aside to speak with him.

While the deputy spoke with Brad, he stated that he and the Victim had been drinking and had had a lot of stress recently. Brad said the Victim stumbled and fell, and he went to help her up, but she "freaked" out and didn't know what happened. The deputy asked him if anything physical had occurred, and he said, "I would never hurt my wife."

Deputy Phillips then spoke with the Victim and asked her what had taken place. She stated that they had been drinking, and Brad couldn't handle his alcohol very well. He then got upset about something involving cows. Brad then grabbed her and threw her to the floor, hurting her left knee, which she had surgery on. While she was on the ground, Brad had gotten behind her and used his forearm to place her in a rear choke hold.

Brad applied enough pressure to her neck that she wasn't able to breathe. When she was able to get up, she called 911 and left her phone on the kitchen island. Brad kept coming at the Victim, but she would use the island to keep space between them. Brad noticed that the Victim's phone was connected to 911 and hung up. She called 911 again and kept the line open for the dispatcher to hear.

The deputy asked if he could examine her neck for any red marks. He observed marks on both sides of her neck, with the skin red and inflamed. Deputy Phillips took pictures of the injuries. He also noticed that when she walked, she would limp, nursing her left leg.

The deputy again asked Brad what had happened, and he told the same story. He asked Brad why she had red marks on her neck. Brad then said that when she was falling, he had tried to catch her, but was unsuccessful, and that's where the marks might have come from. He said that the Victim was just overreacting.

Brad Killpack was arrested and taken to the Duchesne County Jail, and booked on the charge of aggravated assault, a 3^rd, degree felony.
